Among others the condition of conservation, hull thickness- measurements on steel and aluminium yachts, moisture measurements and visual inspection of eventually existing osmosis. Further on GRP and wooden ships will be knocked off in order to ascertain the eventual existing of de-lamination or rotting, anodising, bearing of propeller shaft and securing, stern and bowthrusters are also judged and suspension and bearing of the rudder.
